This month’s tournament is happening THIS weekend, with Super Rec playing at Stad and Aubrun hosting Competitive. Teams have not yet been updated, but will be shortly.

If your cheques aren’t in, please get them in immediately. Going forward, if your team has not paid by Wednesday night at 5pm, then you will not be guaranteed a spot to play on Saturday. In that case you would be placed on a waitlist if the tournament is full.

A pleasant reminder to let everyone know that tournaments are to start at 9am SHARP! Please ensure that you and your team are at the gym and ready to play at 9am. If your team is scheduled to play first and you cannot field a full team, you risk forfeiting your first game.

We’re back for another year of Coed CVNS Volleyball! The first tournament of the year is at Stad this Saturday starting at 9am. Check the registrations page to see who’s playing.

Housekeeping

If you plan on playing this year, you have to find a way to get your money to Anita the Wednesday night BEFORE the tournament. We are no longer accepting money at the gym. No pay, no play. You can find Anita’s contact information on the contact page.

There will be a famous CVNS social returning to the Argyle after the October tournament. The festivities will begin at 9:30pm on October 3rd. Put your dancing shoes on after you’re done icing down after the tournament and come out for a good time at the Argyle!

The 2015 season is about to kick off coming up on September 19th at Stad.

As is the norm for the first tournament of the year, we’ll be taking only 15 teams total. If you’re interested in playing and haven’t yet contacted Sophie, please do so by emailing spitrear at dal.ca.

We’ll be kicking into the regular 2015 “first Saturday of the month” rotation coming up in October! Looking forward to another great year!

The final tournament of the season happens this weekend, with Competitive at Auburn and Super Rec closing it out at Stad.

… more importantly, after the tournament, the CVNS year end social will be happening at the Grad House. There will be music, general chicanery, and I’ve heard rumblings of some drink tickets.

Also, with the end of the season we’re losing our beloved executive vice-president, Kevin Reade. Kevin has served on the executive for years, and his leadership and good spirits will be missed. If you want to have a say in how CVNS operates, and think you could help do a better job, please, contact the executive and throw your hat into the ring to help out, we would love to have you and the more help, the better.

Hello everyone!

The penultimate tournament of the 2014-2015 season is upon us, happening this weekend at Auburn for Competitive and Stad for Super Rec. Please be at your gym and ready to play at 9am.

Also, happening after the May tournament, we have the always popular social happening at the Grad House. There will be a DJ, fellow voleyballers, dancing, and other shenanigans happening from 9pm to 1am!

Unfortunately, we were unable to secure a venue for the February social, so it has been cancelled. This means we’ll have to party twice as hard at the year end social in May (for which a venue has already been booked!)

The first tournament of the year is upon us this weekend! Auburn will play host to Competitive while Stad will house Super Rec.

Super Rec, be advised you have to enter Stad through the North Street entrance.

To all teams, please be advised that we’ll be starting at 9am SHARP on Saturday. If your team is not there and ready to play at 9am, you will have 5 minutes before you forfeit your first game, and another 10 before you forfeit your second. Captains, please make sure that your team is aware!

On a more pleasant note, the annual “February Social” will more than likely be happening after next month’s charity tournament. Details are still being ironed out, but please make sure to let your court reps know if you and/or your team plans to attend!
